Cavin Design Group provided renovation services for the Respiratory Therapy wing that featured a new Emergency Services department. Main issues of concern were the spatial planning for the Treatment Rooms, Trauma, Triage, Cardiac, Orthopedic, and X-Ray units. Additional considerations for an efficient work environment included smooth transitional spaces, adequate room for equipment, and an overall soothing ambiance.
CDG began renovations on the exterior facades and designed canopies that provided two separate covered areas for ambulances and public drives with parking. These canopies were planned for functionality, aesthetics, and visual direction. In the interior space, CDG’s renovation allowed for a more spacious working area, accessible circulation, and inviting atmosphere. Finishes and equipment were applied to the waiting area, admitting area, and staff and support spaces. A second floor addition was also included and housed the administrative offices.
CDG presented renovations that were clean, concise, and meet the requirements of healthcare design and standards. The new spatial layout was effective and aided in the productivity of the staff and patient care. It is a facility that encompasses conscious design and style.
