Architectural Design Civic

The Blanchard Banking Center is a new facility that cohesively combines contemporary architecture with rustic appeal. The architecture is clean in design and presents a warm toned color palette that is visually refreshing. This quaint building offers a coherent spatial layout that features all the particular desires and necessities of the owner and staff.

Cavin Design Group focused on utilizing the concept of vertical height to create a feeling of substantial space and size. This concept was then applied through the pitched roof which is accented by trusses. This signature design is emulated in the covered roof above the three lane drive-in, which encourages consistency within the structure. As a central focal point, CDG designed an impressive double-sided brick fireplace accented with rough-hewn pine beams. These beams radiate at the peak and present a grand scale of the facility. Accenting the beams and fireplace is the introduction of skylights that emit natural sunlight into the lobby. This glowing radiation provides the facility with an ambiance that is relaxing and cozy.

By assessing the needs and requirements of the owner and the staff, CDG was able to go beyond a typical design and present a unique solution that fit the personality of the owner and location. The facility is inviting and offers clients and staff an environment that resembles the feeling of a ‘lodge-like’ resort without all the fuss.
