CHICKASHA BANK AND TRUST - APACHE BANKING CENTER
The
new Apache Banking Center offers visitors and staff an intimate facility with
a warm and inviting atmosphere. Cavin Design Group was conscious of designing
the facility to fit within the confines of a budget while incorporating the
client’s unique needs. Material selection, details, and, spatial design
were integral issues in assisting the overall appearance and appeal of the facility.
The front facade features painted wood siding complemented with stone accents
at the main entrance. The natural stone gives the facility a more distinguished
entry in addition to texture and depth. It is used at the base of the columns,
supporting the pitched roof and exposed trusses. Upon entry, the spatial design
is efficient and convenient. Visitors are quickly greeted with consultation
stations in the lobby which also provides a general seating area. Placement
of furniture and stations are turned at a forty-five degree angle, guiding the
flow of traffic. This angled concept is also applied to the centrally located
fireplace which is the main focus of the lobby. The flue extends from the ceiling
and hovers over the brick fire pit for a grand and interesting centerpiece.
Surrounding materials complementing the western styled fireplace include rustic
colored tile flooring, ebony stained wood, and natural toned paint throughout
the facility. To personalize the bank, CDG designed shelving located twelve
feet above the ground to display the various collections of southwest art and
decor owned by the client.
Apache Banking Center has an individual quality and style that is reminiscent
of Oklahoma history and culture. It maintains a lodge-like environment that
is comfortably domestic and would make any visitor feel like home.
